N.Y.C. is planning to open a store to sell stationery and other outdoor items in the next several months.
The city is partnering with a private developer to buy and sell the equipment, which will allow it to create a permanent retail presence in the waterway’s busiest commercial district.
The development has been approved by the New York City Planning Department, which is expected to approve the project later this month.
The project is also slated to include a restaurant, shops and apartments.
